Two of the Sustainable Development Goals are focused on
achieving gender equality and taking action to combat
climate change. Understanding the relationship between
these goals is critical to devising effective and truly inclusive
solutions that meet the needs of all people in a community.

this number has significantly increased since 2008. In general, the fact that the participation of
women in the labor force is lower than that of men, even though there are more women than
men in the country, may be triggered by several factors.
The scope of this analysis contemplates causal indicators that may affect this variable related
to the environment and climate change.
According to the technical bulletin
by the second quarter of 2024, women represented
52% of the working-age population; however, they
constituted 42.8% of the Labor Force and
51.8% of the Unemployed Population.
